Extended Practice Sunday

Once each month, CloudWater Zendo offers an extended chanting service for those wishing to deepen their cultivation through voice, breath, and collective intention.

Chanting is meditation expressed through sound. It harmonizes breath and awareness, steadies the mind, and awakens the heart’s natural clarity and compassion.

These services draw from the classical liturgical forms of our lineage. This month’s service is the Purification Service which centers around the Shurangama Mantra, a powerful chant which purifies accumulated karma, promotes calmness & focus, and assists us to protect ourselves from negative influences.

The Purification Service will be incorporated into our three-hour Sunday Retreats in March, June, and September.
